Custom Gear

Sometimes you can't find the piece or ensemble of tactical gear to fit your mission requirements just right. That's where we come in. If you have a design you'd like built, we can take care of that for you. If you just have a rough idea of what you want, we can work with you to help design and build the kit you want and need. We offer reasonable pricing, no minimum order quantities (in all but the rarest cases), and we stand by our work 100%. If you have already purchased custom gear from us in the past, please, send us pictures of your gear in use. If we end up using it on our site or catalogs, we will give you a discount on your next purchase. Below is a sampling of the materials we currently carry. If you want a different color or pattern, we can usually get it pretty quickly.

Materials Overview

At Fight and Flight Tactical, we use only the best materials available. Nearly all of our items are 100% MIL-SPEC, with a few exceptions where special parts are required that do not fall under the MIL-SPEC domain. Every item is individually hand made here, in-house. We don't use foreign contract labor or automated sewing and cutting machines. We feel that human hands on every part of every product is the only way to ensure quality.

Below is our stock fabric and materials selection (more to come as we get the chance to update this page). If you would like a piece of gear or a whole set of kit custom made, and you do not see the fabric or pattern that you want, let us know and we will find it. If it is an obscure or hard-to-get material, and you know of a source, please let us know where it is.

Fabric and Webbing Selection

Standard Colors

UCP, commonly known as "ACU Pattern", is the standard camouflage pattern for the US Army.     MultiCam, designed and manufactured by Crye Precision, is a very effective pattern, able to blend into most environments, and is commonly in use with special operations forces.     Foliage Green is the standard solid color for accompanying UCP.

Coyote Brown is the standard solid color for accompanying Multicam, 3-color desert (DCU pattern), and Desert MARPAT.     OD Green is the classic military color, and also is the standard accompanying color for Woodland MARPAT and Woodland (BDU Pattern) Camo.     Black is a good neutral color, commonly used by civilians, police, SWAT members, etc.

We also carry print webbing in UCP and MultiCam patterns, as well as the standard solid colors. The benefits of pattern printed webbing are obvious the second you look at it. Typical camouflaged items have their patterns disrupted with horizontal lines when they have solid color MOLLE webbing sewn across them, but the printed webbing continues the pattern, leaving the wearer with even more effective camouflage.

Mesh Materials

Coyote Brown Mesh     Foliage Green Mesh     OD Green Mesh

We also stock black airmesh, which is a mesh/2mm foam laminate, that is great for increasing airflow against the body.
Other fabrics that we keep in stock include:
*Black and Coyote Brown Slip-Not fabric
*UCP Nylon/Cotton blend ripstop clothing weight fabric, the same that is used in ACU's
*Multicam Nylon/Cotton blend "winter weight" clothing fabric

Typically Available Colors for Custom Gear

ABU Pattern (Airman Battle Uniform) is the US Air Force's new camouflage pattern, loosely based on a tiger stripe pattern, but with greys and blues, and is digitally generated for effective pattern breakup.     Desert MARPAT (MARine PATtern) digital camouflage is the USMC's highly effective digital desert pattern.     Woodland MARPAT (MARine PATtern) digital camouflage is the USMC's highly effective digital woodland pattern.

Other colors and patterns would have to be special ordered, but the listed fabrics we tend to have in stock in small quantities.

Hardware

Pictures and more hardware descriptions coming soon!

Most* of our plastic hardware is GhillieTex hardware from ITW Nexus. With its reduced infrared (IR) signature, your hardware won't be giving off an IR signature that deviates from the rest of your gear that is detectable under NVG's and with IR scopes. We use the best materials that we can get, because our customers deserve the best.

*Depending upon availability, we often use GSI buckles, made entirely to MIL-SPEC standards. They have similar or better strength and durability, the same low IR signature, and come in contoured shapes in 3/4" to 2", unlike commonly available ITW buckles.
