The utility of a VS-17 panel, but in a smaller, more functional package! The idea came from an Infantryman whose soldiers would tear off strips of their VS-17 panels, tie them to rocks, and toss them for small daytime signals to mark positions, cleared rooms, target buildings, etc, without the large signal marker flapping around for the enemy to see as well. Each 2" x 4" package includes a 18" x 1" (fluorescent orange on one side, fluorescent pink on the other) streamer, 3oz of lead shot sealed in the bottom for some heft for throwing, or to stay put, a 550 cord loop for hanging in place on a target or for carrying on a D-Ring, a 550 pull inside so you don't have to dig out the ribbon and has hook and loop closure.
