Sewing: an underrated skill, unless you happen to be the only person in the barracks who knows how.  I started out hand sewing rank and unit patches onto my fellow soldiers uniforms for beer money in AIT, then upgraded to a sewing machine when I PCSed to Ft. Campbell.  For a year or two, all I did was uniforms and the occasional equipment repair.  In 2004, I started dabbling in making gear.  Shortly thereafter, I had a few regular products, and I realized that I could make a living off of it.  I founded Fight and Flight Tactical in 2007 while I was still on active duty.  In January 2009, I was medically retired from the Army, due to injuries sustained in the line of duty.
